Every TelePatriot charges by day and lights the flag after dark. The real difference is how much light it puts out. The bigger your flag or the taller your pole, the more lumens you will want.
Whatever you choose, give it a sunny spot. Solar output depends on how much direct sun the panel gets.

Is it proper to fly the American flag at night?
Yes, when it is lit. The U.S. Flag Code, 4 U.S.C. § 6(a), says the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness. A TelePatriot solar light provides that light from dusk to dawn.
Do I need wiring or an electrician?
No. Every TelePatriot light is solar powered. It charges from the sun during the day and runs on its own battery at night, so there is no wiring, no trenching and no electric bill.
Do I have to turn it on every night?
No. A light sensor turns it on by itself at dusk. Set it up once and it charges by day and lights your flag after dark.
Where does the light go on the pole?
At the top. On a Phoenix flagpole the light disc installs beneath the gold ball: slide the ball’s threaded stem through the center hole of the light, then screw the ball onto the top of the pole until snug. The ball holds the light in place. The lights are sold without a flagpole.
Will it work in winter or on cloudy days?
Solar lights run on the sun they collect. Shade, long cloudy stretches, snow on the panel and short winter days can reduce charging and how long the light stays on. Mount it where the panel gets strong direct sun, and keep the panel clean.
Are TelePatriot lights waterproof?
The 400 Series has a weather resistant housing built for rain, snow, wind and temperature extremes. The 600 Series and 800 Series are rated IP65. The 1500 Series is rated IP67.
